Body Love Yoga & Tantra

What is it all about?

Body Love Yoga

Body Love Yoga is a tantric form of yoga in the sense that it supports and guides us into feeling ourselves in the depths of our being. It is meditation and relaxation in movement. We guide the body back to its natural way of moving where it can eventually express its authentic effortless flow. Deep relaxation combined with the awakening of slumbering muscles invites a healthy balance in the way we move our bodies. Body Love Yoga balances yin and yang and gives you access to more of your inherent capacity. On the yoga mat and in life as a whole.

The path to deep self-love and love beyond the self goes through intimacy with the body. In order to feel genuine and deep love for ourselves and others, we need a continuous embodied relationship to our bodies. We need to learn to love and embrace them just as they are in every moment. We also need to consciously give them attention and love so that they can keep being vibrantly alive throughout our whole lives.

Body Love Yoga gives you the keys to love yourself deeply. As we all know love comes from within, and this path supports you to get in touch with the inner love, peace, sensuality and integrity that is inherent in your body.

Tantrayoga

In the classes that are named Tantra Yoga there is more emphasis on feeling into the pleasure nature of our bodies. Body Love Tantra Yoga is an individual practice that allows us to experience the subtleties of all sensations within, including sensuality and sexuality. While not repressing neither overtly expressing our sexual nature this yoga practice guides us to feel it deeply within where we can actually meet and embrace ourselves as sexual beings.

Tantra Retreats & Courses

In Tantra Retreats and Workshops, tantra yoga and meditation is combined with exercises where we also meet each other in a safe way with respect for everyone's boundaries and integrity. We are guided into deeply feel the subtle sensations that are continuously generated by the body. These subtleties are so easily overlooked in our everyday life where we are often driven by habitual ways of expressing ourselves, not least as sexual beings.

What is Tantra?

Tantra is an ancient wisdom path that invites us to live our lives fully in each moment. This path is not asking us to detach from our bodies but to fully engage with our bodies. Not to withdraw from life but to fully engage with life. Tantra is a way of living that includes all aspects of life. It has since exploding in popularity in the west been mostly associated with sex, but is really a path of self discovery and meditation (as a way of living, not necessarily or only sitting on a cushion). However tantra also gives gives guidance for sexual self-inquiry and sexual interaction. A guidance that is so needed and longed for in our society, since we don’t have any rituals for teenagers to learn about this when starting to engage sexually with self or others.

Remember who you are

Body Love Yoga & Tantra is here to guide us back home to our true selves. Or more accurately expressed, to remind us of what we might have forgotten. By feeling sensations in the body as they are expressing themselves moment by moment we can gently surrender to the flow of life expressing itself within and around us.

In our busy lives we might sometimes lose touch with our human nature as being one with nature as a whole. We might momentarily forget who we are and how much we are supported by nature in being who we are meant to be. Yoga, meditation & tantra help us to reconnect to the wholeness of our beings and their interconnectedness with the wholeness of all that exists. Within this indivisible wholeness we feel safe, loved, supported and free. We sometimes call this inner freedom, peace of mind or awakening.

This remembrance does not happen only through the mind, we need to involve the body in the process. Somatic exploration in movement and stillness makes us rediscover who we are and that is what yoga, tantra and meditation is all about. Nothing needs to be mastered, achieved or controlled. Surrender is the way of letting go and feel into what is real. Here and now, all the time. Everything I will invite you to do is supporting this process of surrender rather than striving or aiming to make something specific happen.
