About the evening
For embodiment nerds, meditation geeks, tantrikas, yoga teachers, and curious beginners 🙏
Body Love Yoga is tantric practice where you learn to make love to life, through your body. Making love as in the art of surrender, not necessarily in a s€xual way. However your senses will gradually awaken to feel more in general, including yourself as a sensual and s€xual being.
Inviting the body to relax so that your capacity to feel will fine-tune into experiencing more intimacy. Intimacy with your body, nature, other people and life as a whole. Not only the kind of intimacy that requires physical touch, but also the kind of intimacy that you feel in the subtle sensations within yourself. Inner love, peace, joy & abundance.
This practice gradually takes us away from the collective addiction to intensity. More, bigger, better, the endless hunt for external pleasures and the satisfaction that just moves further away from us the more we chase them. Body Love Yoga invites us into an actual possibility of being content and at peace with what is. Moment by moment.
The focus this evening will be on the bandhas. We will learn to differentiate between action and impact. We do something with our bodies to make something else happen, naturally and spontaneously. The biggest confusion in what is called yoga in modern times is the lack of this differentiation. Our collective learned habit is to go straight to action, and miss out on the subtle elements that the body is totally capable of doing by itself, unless we try to forcefully impose them. We learn to listen to the body, both its needs and its capacity, and invite the effortless flow that yoga and life can be, if we let it.
You don’t need to have any previous experience to be able to enjoy Body Love Yoga. It is not about achievement and performance, it is about relaxation, in movement and in stillness. All types of bodies are warmly welcome. Another confusion out there is that you need to be fit or flexible to practice yoga, that is simply not true. You are warmly welcome just as you are, and you will be invited to adjust the practice to your body’s needs and capacity.
Body Love Yoga is an individual practice.
This evening will be a felt experience. The talking part will be held to a minimun and will happen after the class, to clarify the most important elements (included in the time, so it all ends at 19.30).
